Who we are
The data controller is AROLO VENTURE S.L.U. (hereinafter “AROLO”), Calle La Laja, 5, Callao Salvaje, 38678 Adeje, Santa Cruz de Tenerife – España, email info@arolo.it. If this policy does not answer your questions, please write to us at that address.
Visiting the website
You can visit the AROLO website without telling us who you are or revealing personal information such as your name, phone number, postal or email address. To see how the site is used and how it can be improved we count visits without cookies: for each page view we record date and time, page, referring site, device type and browser language, with an anonymous code that changes every day. The IP address is not stored and this data is not linked to an identified person. With your consent to statistics cookies we also use Google Analytics.
The site uses only the technical cookies needed for it to work (session and the record of your cookie choice). Statistics or marketing cookies are used only with your consent, which you can change at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
Data you give us
We ask you for personal data only when you need it for a service: for example when you download software, request a licence or a quotation, register for an event or write to us. Supplying the data is optional, but without the required fields we cannot complete the request.
When customers register or activate a licence, AROLO collects data such as company name, address, contact name, email address, telephone number, role, industry and the CAD products in use, in order to know who its customers are and to contact them with relevant product information. If a licence includes technology licensed to AROLO by third parties, AROLO may have to make these data available to those licensors. If a person of the licensee company asks which colleague activated a licence, AROLO may give that name so that the company knows where its licences are used.
How we use the data
We use personal data to handle your requests (downloads, trials, licences, orders and support), for registration and authentication in the reserved area and, if you have agreed, to send you news, updates and offers about our products. You can unsubscribe at any time: every email explains how.
Our resellers are our main sales channel and the first line of support for our customers: for this reason we share the contact details of a customer or prospect with the reseller of their area.
We do not sell personal data. They may be processed only by the providers that run technical services for us (hosting, email), who act as data processors and may use them only on our behalf. AROLO may also disclose personal data when required by law or by an order of the authorities, or to protect the rights and safety of AROLO, its customers or the public.
Legal basis and retention
We process data to answer your requests and to perform contracts (art. 6.1 b of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, GDPR), on the basis of your consent for marketing communications (art. 6.1 a) and to meet legal obligations, for example tax and accounting (art. 6.1 c). Data are kept for as long as needed for these purposes and in any case no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless the law requires a longer period (for example for invoices).
Technical support
To answer support requests AROLO uses the contact data linked to the licence in its customer database and may ask the customer for more information. Sometimes we need files or models to diagnose a problem: we may share them with a licensor of the technology included in an AROLO product when this is needed to solve the problem, and these licensors are contractually bound to keep customer files confidential. Customer files may also be kept to test later releases of AROLO products.
Other websites
This website contains links to websites of other companies, which may collect personal data under their own privacy policies. AROLO is not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of websites it does not own: please read their policies before giving them your data.
Your rights
At any time you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, restrict or object to their processing, ask for data portability and withdraw your consent, by writing to info@arolo.it. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Spain the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, or the authority of your country.
Changes to this policy
AROLO may update this policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page, so we suggest you read it again now and then.
